Public Service Law

Employment Law and Public Service Law are moving in each other’s direction. Where Employment Law is governed by the Civil Code, Public Service Law has, as a rule, specific regulations on legal status (similar to a CAO) that apply to civil servants. For municipal civil servants, this is the CAR-UWO and for government civil servants the ARAR. Civil servants are appointed by means of an appointment decision.
